Youth Empowerment

IBL also concerns about the high level of unemployment among young people in Indonesia (age 15-32), making the country one among 10 countries championing youth empowerment. CSR can be a good way the private sector can help creating decent jobs and inducing small enterprise development.
Since 2003, IBL has been building partnership programs in two major areas: Employability and Entrepreneurship. Main content is empowering young people on soft skills and access to jobs (job placement and/or access to finance). IBL’s current strategic partners include the International Youth Foundation (IYF), while in the past IBL partnered with Youth Business International (YBI), Shell LiveWire, IFC, and the Grassroots Business International (GBI).
Under various brand names: Young Entrepreneurs Start up (YES), Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE), Equip Youth (EY), Muda Terampil (MT); IBL with a number of corporate sponsors have empowered more than 20,000 young people in various provinces.
