1. What does the IBL aim to achieve
   
    IBL aims to :

  • Build and enhance awareness and understanding of CSR's benefits and encourage the practice of CSR as a way of life at all levels of a corporation
  • Involve various stakeholders in evolving, re-defining, and improving on the principles and practices of CSR in a rapidly changing business and social environment through sustainable and economically advantageous practices
  • Generate opportunities for various stakeholders to work together with corporate leaders to creatively
  • Explore and create greater synergies
  • Balance the interest of various stakeholders in society
  • Create mechanisms within society that will encourage, publicize, and reward corporations with good CSR practices, through their support of the development and implementation of CSR benchmarks and standards network with like-minded organizations both locally and globally so as to enhance and refine the concept of CSR
  • Be the National platform for CSR

2. What are the IBL Role
   
    IBL roles are :

  • Disseminate information on "best practices" though newsletters, papers, books, seminars, conferences, workshops, and other educational media
  • Facilitate exchange and dialogue among members and among community stakeholders on emerging issues
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of CSR standards and benchmarks
  • Encourage involvement of various stakeholders to co-evolve sustainable and workable ways to synergise interestsFacilitate policy papers and representation to various government and non-government agenciesInvolve stakeholders in finding ways to reinforce good CSR practices
